The levee between Waterview Place and Austin Bayside Drive/North Lake

When are membership fees due?
Fees are due by March 31 each year. New in-area memberships are prorated. Out-of-area memberships are not prorated.
Can renters become members?
Yes. Renters can purchase a membership and receive the same privileges as property owners.

Can my guests use the lake without me?

What happens if I break the rules?
Violations may lead to membership suspension or revocation without refund.
Please note: Indianhead Lake is private property. Use of the lake and Association lands is restricted to current members in good standing. Non-members are considered trespassers and may be subject to legal action or law enforcement involvement.
What activities are allowed on the lake?
Fishing, recreational cruising, and paddling are allowed. Swimming, hunting, and bow fishing are not allowed.
Can I feed ducks, geese, or other wildlife?
Feeding wildlife disrupts natural feeding habits and can lead to health or overpopulation issues.
Are pellet guns or BB guns allowed?
No. These and similar devices are prohibited on ILPOA lakes and property.
Can I drive my ATV or vehicle on ILPOA property?
No motor vehicles are allowed on ILPOA property except at the boat ramp.
What fishing rules apply?

No wake
No jet skis, airboats, or fan-propelled boats
No reckless or negligent operation
All watercraft must display a current ILPOA decal.
No one under 12 may operate a gas-powered boat.
Children under 13 must wear life jackets.

Height above normal water level may not exceed 36 inches.
Shade is limited to patio umbrellas.
Floating docks must use UV-stabilized polyethylene-encased floats and have two anchor points.
All new dock designs must be submitted to the Board for approval before construction.
Non-members must remove existing docks from the lake.

Yes — if you are a member in good standing and have a signed operational agreement.
Non-members may not pump water from the lake.
Pumps should not be used during adequate rainfall or low water levels as determined by the Board.
What should I do if I have alligator weed on my shoreline?
You must remove it — manually or using approved chemicals (available via ILPOA). Contact us to request help or view our removal guide.
How should I dispose of yard waste or pool water?
Do not dump yard waste, pool water, or debris into the lake, common areas, or other properties. Pool water contains chemicals harmful to fish, wildlife, and water quality. Use approved disposal services and follow local regulations.

Yes. All outbuildings and fences must meet city codes and your subdivision’s Bill of Assurance. Certain structures — like privacy fences or large buildings that block lake views — may be prohibited.
